Sources, not borrowed certainty
Factual reporting should link to its research sources. We favour cultural institutions, universities, public records and direct reporting. A tourism overview is an introduction, not proof of every claim about a tradition’s origins.
Practical suggestions are identified as editorial guidance. We do not invent interviews, attendance, events or research. The new community article and the September 2026 archive revisions were prepared with AI assistance. They offer sourced summaries or editorial context, not first-hand reporting. A checked source does not establish every claim in an older article.
Respect different kinds of knowledge
Family memories, oral traditions and religious beliefs are valuable on their own terms. We label them accordingly and distinguish them from independently documented history. We do not treat caste or community identity as a measure of anyone’s worth, ability or belonging.
What the archive means
The reading edition retains original publication dates and shows a separate review date. Sources are credited by publication and author where established; a report about an interview is not an interview conducted by Bunts Daily. Empty menus and duplicate articles redirect to useful pages.
Unsupported health, genetics and racial-origin claims have been withdrawn from the reading edition. Expired event notices are labelled, and obsolete personal booking contacts removed. Pages with unresolved source limitations carry noindex metadata and are excluded from the sitemap. These pages remain accessible as contextualised archive records.
Credits, consent and corrections
Contributors should have permission to share photographs, recordings and personal accounts. We credit sources and retain original material separately from the reading edition. New illustrative artwork is identified on the image credits page.
