THE BUNTS COLLECTION
Bunts Community
Follow a name, a home or a family custom into the larger story of the Bunt community.
Bunt history is woven through the fields, households and towns of coastal Karnataka. These guides connect family questions with the wider history of Tulunad, from the meaning of a surname to the changing life of a Guthu house.
Start with the community history, then follow the subject that brought you here. Family customs differ, and a shared surname does not tell the whole story of a person’s ancestry.
