Beginnings and registration
The Sangha’s account places its beginnings in 1958, when a small group established an organisation for Bunts in Bangalore. Its society documents record registration on 20 September 1973. These dates describe two stages of the same institution: the community initiative came first, followed by its registered structure. Keeping both dates visible avoids treating the registration anniversary as the beginning of every earlier activity.
A campus with several purposes
The institutional history names the RTB Auditorium, Bunts Sangha RNS Vidyaniketan School and Pre-University College, Varasiddhi Vinayaka Temple, a working women’s hostel and Asha Prakasha Bhavana. The last includes administrative space, smaller meeting facilities and guest rooms. Together, these buildings explain why the Sangha appears in enquiries about schooling, accommodation, celebrations and meetings, rather than only in reports of an annual cultural function. CBSE’s affiliation record independently identifies Bunts Sangha Bangalore as the management of an RNS Vidyaniketan school.
Culture and practical support
The official site provides routes to Yakshagana and theatre-training applications, scholarship information, employment services and hall bookings. It also lists committees for publications, sport, youth, women’s programmes and doctors’ welfare work. Sneha Chintane gives the institution a continuing publication alongside its events. A 2026–27 interest-free loan scholarship notice and September 2026 celebration photographs were visible when this entry was checked. These are specific signs of recent publishing; the older committee articles on the same website should not be read as a current leadership list.
Finding the right service
The Sangha’s published contact is its Chord Road address in Vijayanagar. Its website makes an important practical distinction: registering for access to the website or app does not itself enrol a person as a Sangha member. Membership, hostel enquiries, classes and scholarship applications therefore follow their respective routes. An application link establishes a way to enquire, not a confirmed seat, award or room booking.
