Hebri Bunts Sangha

Hebri Bunts Sangha is also reported under the fuller name Buntara Yane Nadavara Sangha, Hebri Ajekar Valaya. The local-area name belongs to the association’s identity and need not match today’s administrative boundaries. It is separate from the Mathr Sangha committee that coordinates Karkala and Hebri taluks.

The association’s Buntara Sabhabhavana is named in reports of educational, cultural and religious programmes. A February 2025 account describes a fortieth-year celebration at the Sheela Subhod Ballal Buntara Sabhabhavana premises, with a programme stage named for the Udaya Krishnaiah Shetty Charitable Trust.

Education and recognition

The fortieth-year programme included a reported Rs 10 lakh in scholarships raised with donor support, recognition of achievers, and prizes for sports and cultural competitions. A separate official gallery entry from Bunts’ Sangha Bangalore records a Hebri scholarship-distribution programme on 19 January 2025. Together, these records place educational assistance among the sangha’s clearly documented activities.

Hiriya Buntara Bandhavya

In November 2023 the sangha described Hiriya Buntara Bandhavya, a programme of visiting older members of its area. The report said visits were organised on the first Sunday of each month at that time. Conversation and public appreciation were central to the programme, taking the association’s activity beyond stage functions and into personal contact with senior community members. The reported schedule is historical, rather than a current monthly calendar.

Health and partner programmes

A March 2026 account records a free health fair at Hebri Buntara Bhavana. Participants included the sangha, Udaya Krishnaiah Shetty Charitable Trust, KMC Hospital Manipal, Hebri Community Health Centre and other organisations, under the leadership of Chanakya Educational and Cultural Foundation. The programme was a collaboration involving medical institutions; the sangha itself is not a medical service.

Other reports describe Satyanarayana puja and bhajana gatherings accompanied by assistance distributed by the Udaya Krishnaiah Shetty Charitable Trust. Naming the partner matters: the hall, sangha and charitable trust each have a different role in the recorded programme.
