Perdoor Mandala association

Buntara Sangha Perdoor Mandala serves the Perdoor area of Udupi taluk. A January 2024 report dates its establishment to 1991. The association’s name refers to the mandala organisation; the community hall is one of its projects. Reports show educational assistance and local recognition alongside the development of meeting facilities.

Community-hall campus

The Smt Sarvani Palli Srinivasa Hegde community-hall project was developed at Jogibettu near Perdoor, beside the Udupi to Agumbe road. The 2024 description lists an air-conditioned auditorium and dining hall, a stage, rooms and parking, together with separate vegetarian and non-vegetarian kitchen facilities. This combination was intended to accommodate weddings and other sizeable community functions.

Opening announcements published in January 2024 gave different proposed dates. The useful, consistent information is the sangha’s role in the project, its location and the named hall. A proposed inauguration date alone does not establish when bookings or regular use began.

New facilities and a local book

A further foundation ceremony took place on 9 March 2025 for the Vijayalakshmi Dinesh Hegde air-conditioned hall, Jalajakshi Veeranna Sooda open-air stage and an association office building. These were separately named components of the development programme. The report documents the foundation ceremony rather than their later completion.

The same gathering included scholarships and recognition of achievers. It also saw the release of Perdoorina Bantaru, a commemorative volume edited by Sridhara K. Shetty Kuthyaru Beedu. A publication carrying the locality’s name gives the association’s activity a documentary dimension alongside its buildings and public functions.

Cooperation beyond one association

Kulala World also documented cooperation between Perdoor’s Bunts and Kulala organisations on a house-building effort for a family in Bairampalli. The article described work in progress. It provides an example of the sangha joining another local community organisation for practical assistance, without establishing a continuing housing entitlement or a completed project register.
